This auction is a great fundraiser for many clubs and groups who use the facilities including the Warburton Millgrove Cricket Club, the Warburton Millgrove Football/Netball Club and the Warburton Scout Group.
Goods available for auction on Sunday, which starts at 10am, have in recent years included garden furnishings, agricultural machinery, vehicles, motor mowers, chainsaws, toys, bric-a-brac, motor bikes, antiques, plants, bicycles, household utensils, building materials and tools.
MasterCard, Visa and Eftpos will be accepted for payment on the day.
There will also be stalls run by local community groups and other sports clubs to add to the community atmosphere and provide even more opportunities for bargain hunters.
To donate goods or to register for the auction on a commission basis, phone Jeremy Crunden on 5966 2201.

Yarra Junction has taken out a Top Award for the Eastern States at this years Annual Awards
Andrew McMath Real Estate and our sales team has been named as being among the nation’s elite sales professionals.
Our office was named the winner of Professionals Real Estate Group’s Top Office of the Year for the East Coast of Australia at last month’s annual awards night held in Sydney.
Our office won against over 100 other Professionals offices throughout the east coast of Australia for the honour and we are thrilled to receive the award.
We are very proud of what we have achieved this year and would like to thank the Yarra Valley Community for their support. Real Estate Agents throughout the Professionals Network are very competitive and it is a major achievement for us to win one of the group’s major awards.
It is great to be recognised outside of the state level and these awards are in recognition of a standard of excellence in property that is among the best in the nation.
Our Sales Agents also had a fantastic night taking away many different awards. It was great to see all our agents in the top 10% of the East Coast of Australia and also for our Sales Manager, Ashleigh Hall, to be placed in the Top 3 Agents for the East Coast of Australia.
About
Well its not really my scene but the ladies in our office have a great way for all the other ladies in the Yarra Valley to buy some & also raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)! As many of you probably know the team (well the ladies in our team anyway!) at Andrew McMath Real Estate annually hold a Shoe Party to help raise money for the NBCF which we (& all Professionals offices!) support. Well it’s time again!
After feedback from the ladies who attended last year they are making a slight change to the party. THERE ARE NOW TWO!! One now in April for the Winter season & also one in October (as usual) for the Summer season.
On display at this party will be many types of winter boots & other winter shoes along with handbags ready for you to order in any colour, size & leather type you desire!
From what Iv heard from people who have attended our shoe parties are a great night where everyone can all get together, have a chat (& a glass of wine!), look at lots of shoes & handbags & maybe even buy some! There will also have a raffle & door prize on the night.
10% of all sales will go towards the
NBCF & everyone is invited to attend at 7:30pm on Wednesday 13
th April at the Yarra Junction Bowling Club. Feel free to bring a friend or two along with you.
If you are planning on attending could you please give our office a call on (03) 5967 1800 or e-mail
sales@andrewmcmath.com.au so that we know numbers for catering!
About
Well it’s not the cold sort of ice or fortunately the illegal but it’s being doing the rounds of
facebook recently and everyone here at
Andrew McMath Real Estate think that it is a brilliant idea.
Although (believe it or not!) you can’t believe everything you see on facebook this “event” says it has come from the Ambulance Service. Even if it didn’t I don’t think the Ambulance Service would mind!
The theory is that we all carry mobile phones with many (sometimes hundreds) of names and numbers stored in its memory. If we were involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people (such as the ambos!) attending to us would have our mobile phone but wouldn’t know who to call. Out of all the numbers in your phone who is the person to call In Case of Emergency? Hence the idea of ICE (In Case of Emergency)!
All you need to do is store the number of the person who is to be your emergency contact under the word ‘ICE’. An example may be ICE – John Smith or ICE – Jane Smith. If you happen to have a few people you may like to use as your Emergency Contact then add ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc etc. This way in an emergency situation ambulance officers or hospital staff could immediately contact the right person simply by dialling the number in your phone.
I think that this is a great idea & everyone in our office has now added ‘ICE’ to our mobile phones. We have also forwarded the concept onto everyone on our facebook page so that this idea gets out to as many people as possible. We hope that you do the same!

About
As you may be aware, Andrew McMath Real Estate are proud supporters of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Each year during October we change everything to pink (including our branding) to promote awareness of the disease & also hold various fundraising activities for the NBCF. We also ensure that a portion of every sale we make is donated to the NBCF to help fund research into the cure for this awful disease.
We are always excited though when we hear of others ways that people throughout our local Yarra Valley community are also helping support sufferers of cancer and are happy to promote any of these service & fundraisers through our various social media channels.
The newest service we have been contacted about recently is being held by “The Salon of Warburton”. Coleen & Vanessa from the salon are holding FREE ladies pampering nights for any local woman who has, or has had, any form of cancer (not just Breast Cancer). They are also lucky to have the support of the skincare company Purestuf who is donating all skin care products, plus goodies for the ladies to take home!
The first night is being held on Thursday 24th March at 6pm and you can join in by calling 5966 5646 to book a spot.
If you know of any other service that you would like promoted to the Yarra Valley community, don’t hesitate to send our Marketing Co-ordinator Melinda Darwall an e-mail, melinda@andrewmcmath.com.au, with the details.

If you are one of my “friends” or “fans” on
facebook, you would have seen that our office now has our own mixed netball team. We play every Monday night at the Yarra Centre & so far we have done really well & won 2 out of 3 of our games.
We are also using this team to promote how the Professionals support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) by wearing the official Professionals NBCF T-Shirts.
With
me running centre & the big boys
Marty &
Cam at each end of the goals, we certainly look like a daunting team, however as we are having so much fun playing we really don’t mind if we win or lose (OK maybe I mind a little, but the rest dont!).
I will keep you updated with how we are going each week on my
facebook &
twitter pages &, of course, in my blog.
Thanks to Charlene,
Marty & Geraldine for joining
myself, Lyndal, Melinda,
Kate &
Cam from our office to make up our team.
I will post some photos of the team soon!

Has everyone visited the newly built playground in Yarra Junction? What do you think? My children have played at the park many times since it was re-opened earlier this year and they absolutely love it!
Last November
our office posted a blog about how the Upper Yarra Rotary Club (UYRC) were working with the Yarra Ranges Council to re-build the playground after a senseless arson attack in September 2009. It is great to see that this playground is now completed and what a fantastic job the UYRC & the community have done.
I would personally like to thank the UYRC, the Community Bank Enterprise (Bendigo Bank), the Yarra Ranges Council and anybody else who contributed to the re-building of our park for their hard work.
About
Along with the rest of Australia (and even the world) our team has watched in both amazement & horror over the last few weeks at the devastation the floods have caused in Queensland and now Victoria. Throughout the whole ordeal however it is heartwarming to see the care & generosity of other people and the ways in which people have been recovering from these disasters.
Thankfully all of our colleagues offices in the affected areas have survived with no significant flooding or damage, however it is unfortunate that many of our colleagues houses have been affected. Here is a blog written by Glyn Morgan, our Managing Director, on how the Professionals offices & staff have done & also how you can support the flood victims (all of them, not just our colleagues!).
To show our support and help raise some money, for both the Victorian flood victims & Queensland, we are holding a fundraising BBQ tomorrow outside our office. Why not drop by after 11am and have a sausage in bread for lunch?! We would love to see you and are looking forward to raising as much money as we can.
About

Our sales team at
Andrew McMath Real Estate love being able to provide our clients & the community with new & interesting ways to out all the information they need on properties you may be interested in.
Earlier this year we introduced
photo tours of all our properties along with
floorplans so that everyone could see exactly what the property was like. We are now happy to announce that we are taking that one step further and offering every property a
3D Virtual Tour!
These tours are an excellent way for all purchasers to see what the property would look like once they have their own furniture and their own special touches added. You are able to change the colour of the walls, add different floor coverings, move around, add new furniture & even add special touches such as paintings & rugs.
We all love this new program and have been having heaps of fun playing with all the properties to see ways in which we can decorate them & add different furniture. Feel free to do the same!
Just click here!
Together with United Lane & the Professionals Group we have introduced this FREE service to our clients and it is now available.
About
From an early age and a fourth generation orchardist, I worked around the family orchard in Gladysdale. I now live in Wesburn with my wife Lyndal (who also has a significant background in real estate), and our two small children.
I attend many training courses and conferences and am ever growing my knowledge of the industry and customer needs. I can’t imagine doing anything else, and I haven’t looked back since commencing a career in real estate. I’ve always strived to achieve in everything I do, and real estate is no different. Through providing my real estate services to my sellers and buyers, I have managed to win numerous awards and am currently ranked within the top 2% of sales agents on the East Coast of Australia in the Professionals group.
